Apple announced it’s new lineup of iPods this week. Yes they’ve got a model with the amazing multi-touch interface introduced with the iPhone. This is going to revolutionize the whole iPod industry all over again!
The iPod touch is the new top of the line iPod. It looks very much like the iPhone and features a 3.5-inch widescreen display, WI-FI browsing using Safari and of course the gorgeous multi-touch interface that makes flipping through your music library a breeze. You’ll also be able to watch YouTube videos on the iPod touch through its built in WI-FI connection. Apple has also launched the iTunes WI-FI Music Store so you can check out what’s hot and download the latest songs wirelessly directly to your iPod. The iPod touch comes in two flavors. The 8GB model is priced at $329 CAN ($299 USD) and the 16GB model at $449 CAN ($399 USD).
Next up is the new iPod classic. This model is similar to the last generation of iPods and features loads of storage space, an enhanced interface with Coverflow and long battery life. The 80GB model is priced at $279 CAN ($249 USD) and the 160GB model at $399 CAN ($349 USD).
The iPod nano also got a new face lift. It’s being called the “Fatboy” for it’s new shorter and wider size. It features a larger brighter display capable of video playback and a tiny 6.5mm profile. It now comes in a variety of 5 colors, including a (RED) model, and is priced at $169 CAN ($149 USD) for the 4GB model and $219 CAN ($199 USD) for the 8GB model.
Last but not least is the updated iPod shuffle. It comes in an array of new colors and features a built-in clip and a battery indicator light. As ever it comes in one size at 1GB and goes for $89 CAN ($79 USD).
Apple has updated it’s website to include the new iPods lineup and they can be purchased online as we speak.
