CNET has a great little article on Adobe’s recent demonstration of it’s online version of Photoshop called Photoshop Express.
This new product is scheduled for release within the next 3 to 6 months and is intended to compete with other free image editing tools. Naturally this product is aimed at the consumer market. Professionals will find Photoshop Express to be quite slim in features and comparable to Photoshop Elements.

In a motion to prevent U.S. film productions from shooting in Canada, the Film and Television Action Committee (FTAC), a Hollywood organization, has filed a petition against Canada with the U.S. Trade Representatives. The FTAC says Canadian subsidies are unfairly luring productions away from the U.S.
Enter ACTRA, The Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists. “We will fight this attack on Canada’s film industry and insist on the right to provide support to our industry” stated Richard Hardacre, ACTRA National President.
The article points out that the FTAC’s complaint is unwarranted and will definitely not be approved under any trade agreement.
