I recently posted about Dulce Systems on emotionDV. They’re a great new company from California that specializes in storage solutions for video editing and content creation. Their products have been getting great reviews from industry professionals and are compatible with both Mac and Windows.

This weekend Dulce Systems introduced the 5-bay HD Commander (RAID 0, eSATA, 250MB/s). This RAID is fast, comes with a Port Multiplier capable Host Adapter card and supports up to 5TB.

For those seeking even more performance with the added security of a RAID 3, 5 or 6 check out their Duo Quad systems. They claim 10 streams of uncompressed SD and 2 streams of uncompressed HD.

CalDigit released a press statement today to announce that they are now shipping the HDPro, an 8 bay RAID Tower & Rack Mount solution with capacities from 2TB up to 8TB. The HDPro can be configured in RAID 0, 1, 5 or 6 with the included CalDigit Controller Card and can reach a sustained data rate of 400MB/s. Instead of eSATA or Fibre Channel it features a breakthrough direct connection to the computer’s bridge chip and memory system that transfers data at 20Gb/s!
